LOGISTICS DIRECTOR

50+ hours per week

Must have completed freshman year of college

Must be able to work all 10 weeks of camp

Must be able to attend mandatory training on May 26-28, 2020

$15 per hour

 

The LOGISTICS DIRECTOR is responsible for the daily operations of Urban Camp.

 

The Logistics Director will have these gifts:

  • mediation between peers and between campers

  • teamwork
  • a heart for servant leadership

 

The responsibilities of the Director include, but are not limited to:

  • Morning greeting of campers and families
  • Attendance collection
  • Field trip departure and arrival management
  • Managing staff morning/afternoon assignments and cut order
  • Keep staff office & supply room in good working order
  • Staff care
  • Snack distribution and inventory management
  • Camper care including medical and discipline matters
  • Take home items distributed
  • Manage weekly set-up and tear down needs (radios, banners, rooms, etc)

PROGRAM DIRECTOR

 

50+ hours per week

Must have completed have completed freshman year of college

Must be able to work all 10 weeks of camp

Must be able to attend mandatory training on May 26-28, 2020

$15 per hour

 

The Program Director is responsible for the daily “programs” of camp.

 

The Program Director will have these gifts:

The responsibilities of the Program Director include, but are not limited to:

  • Morning rally leadership
  • Rotation and interest group set-up
  • Tribe time curriculum and supplies
  • Lead/teach rotation and projects

Collecting photos and stories from camp

TRIBE LEADER

45+ hours per week

Must have completed senior year of High School

Must be able to work at least 7 weeks of camp

Must be able to attend mandatory training on May 26-28, 2020

$12-14 per hour, based on years of service

 

The Tribe Leader is responsible for leading campers through the daily activities of Urban Camp.

 

The Program Staff will have the following gifts:

  • small group management with children
  • people skills
  • clear communication
  • time management
  • problem solving
  • teaching and leadership

 

The responsibilities of the Program Staff include, but are not limited to:

  • Foster spiritual, emotional and community health for each camper
  • Lead tribe time
  • Lead/teach rotation and projects
  • Interact with campers during morning & afternoon gathering and interest group time
  • Manage and follow camp schedule and activities

Please note: tribes have two leaders each week of camp.  Tribe Leaders will be assigned either (A) or (B) responsibilities. Each will be tasked with specific functions of the week such as tribe time, rotation leadership, schedule management, radios, medication, etc.

SUPPORT STAFF/INTERN

The Intern is responsible for the daily supplies, set-up and tear-down of Urban Camp. This is primarily a behind the scenes position and reports to the Director.

30+ hours per week
Must have completed FRESHMAN year of High School
Flexible weeks available
$11 per hour

The Intern will have the following gifts:
– time management
– problem solving
– forward thinking
– self-starter/work independently
– hard worker

The responsibilities of the Program Staff include, but are not limited to:
– Daily set up of project rotations, supplies, interest groups etc.
– Clean up of activities
– Keeping supply closet organized and clean

Please note: there is a possibility that this position will include some teaching and leadership in rotations and interest groups, depending on the interest and ability of the person who is hired.
